Paul Brazil Wins For Client Who Suffered From Multiple Vaccines

Attorney Paul Brazil was retained by a young woman who, on September 26, 2013, received several vaccinations at her primary care physician’s office including influenza, hepatitis A and human papilloma virus. Immediately following her vaccinations, her health rapidly declined. She developed severe fatigue followed by urinary incontinence and was taken to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with probable mononucleosis and discharged.

Her health continued to deteriorate further. She began to lose sensory response and demonstrated extreme weakness. Soon after, she was intubated and diagnosed with transverse myelitis and encephalomyelitis. For approximately one week she was in and out of consciousness, and developed paralysis of her lower body.

Over the following weeks, she slowly improved until her discharge on November 13, 2013. She continues to suffer from several conditions related to her vaccine injury, including a neurogenic bladder, requiring frequent catheterization, and depression.

Attorney Paul Brazil filed a petition in the Court of Federal Claims seeking compensation from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. After significant litigation, attorney Brazil was able to secure a compensation package including a $185,000 settlement for pain and suffering plus reimbursement of out of pocket medical expenses.
